Juliana teaches Hip Hop, Cheerleading, and Gymnastics at NDCA. She is twenty-two years old and a native of Tampa, FL. She has live in Newport, TN for twelve years and was a former Cocke County High School and Newport Grammar School cheerleader. In high school, she was not only a team member but choreographer for many of their team dances. Juliana has cheered since she was six and danced since she was three. Cheering and dancing have always been her passion.
Juliana has taken everything from Ballet to Hip Hop, and as a Senior in high school, she taught dance and cheerleading for NDCA, Inc. She trained in dance in order to make the college dance team at Tennessee Tech University where she became a Golden Girl for the Eagles.
After her first year of college, she was married at nineteen to her husband, Matthew Munsey. They have been married for three years. Eight months ago they welcomed their beautiful and vibrant daughter Liliana into their lives. She is truly a blessing. At the same time, she finished College at Free Will Baptist Bible College. She has a BA Degree in International Business and Missions along with minors in Bible and Spanish. She has worked with children since she was thirteen, as a babysitter, a nanny, and a teacher at an inclusive pre-school. She has a special place in her heart for children.
Julianna says she is extremely blessed and thankful for my wonderful family and the opportunity to teach children how to dance and cheer. She can only hope that they become as passionate about cheer and dance as she is.
Dance Instructor, Julie Freeman Mullins (Mrs. Ju Ju)
Julie has been dancing since she was 5 years old; everything from ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics, lyrical, modern, cheerleading, and show choir. She has studied dance with Beverly Serral School of Dance and The Dance Experience during her grade school years. Beginning her freshman year of college she studied under Winter and Company Dance Studio, and ADC and Company Dance Studio, both of Greenville, TN. She started teaching and choreographing for ADC and Company in 2004 and remained with the company until 2013. Her dance concentrations have been mainly ballet, jazz, and lyrical, but she enjoys teaching any kind of dance.
Teaching dance has been a tremendous blessing in her life, an outlet for using her skills and abilities to praise and worship God. Over the years, she has enjoyed choreographing many pieces for church services, using liturgical/creative movements and sign language to enhance worship services.
Julie also currently works at Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center as their chef and food services coordinator. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from Walters State Community College as well as a B.B.A. in Business Management and Marketing from East Tennessee State University. She lives in Cosby, TN with her husband Josh, their dog Rocket, and their cat Pearl.
Having taken a break from dancing for the last 2 years, she is so thankful and excited to be back in the studio teaching again. It is very rewarding to see her students develop a love and passion for dance and to see a child develop confidence in themselves and pride for their accomplishments. Teaching dance has become so much more than learning and developing skills. It is the opportunity to be a positive influence, to intentionally invest in young lives, and to always encourage them to pursue excellence in whatever they do.

This will also open up more opportunities and convenience for families at our school. Parents, brothers and sisters can both take classes in the same location. Tuition discounts are available for families with siblings taking classes, and discounts are given to students taking multiple class styles. Students do not have to go outside the school to seek instruction for various styles of learning.
Mr. Allen’s motto also fits in with our program as well. He believes in One God, One Love, and One Family, in that order. He focuses his instruction on self-defense, not violence.
